Enticing New Confectionery

We’re bringing caramels back!

Salted Butter Caramels are Back!

They’re the must-have sweet of the moment – French style salted butter caramels that are soft, rich and oh so good. They’ve been missing from our menu for nearly 2 years, but now they’re back and better than ever.

Paris, The City of Love (and cake)

It’s hard to get away when you’re running your own business, especially if it’s food related. Somewhere between production, planning, stock management, juggling orders, dealing with suppliers and the constant feeling that there’s always more to do, it’s hard enough to find time to sleep, never mind jet off on holiday and leave it all behind.

Sometimes, though, it’s great to just stop and take stock of where you are at. Even better is if you can add a little “research” to the mix, combining work and pleasure so you feel a little less bad about leaving your business baby on the back burner for a few days.

Easter and Mother’s Day 2015

This time last year, we had only just started up, and Easter came and went without us being able to do much about it, so it has been great fun playing around with our range for this year!

Scrambled Easter Egg
“Scrambled Eggs” – Hand decorated hollow eggs with bright splashes of colour in our creamy house milk or white chocolate

Deck the stall…

With December upon us and Christmas just around the corner, it’s time for a quick announcement regarding Christmas markets.

We have changed up our product range a bit for all markets between now and Christmas. Sadly this means that patisserie is off the menu until the new year, but instead we will have a range of gift ideas and festive treats. This includes our confectionery in new presentation gift tins, boxes of festive biscuits, mince pies, chocolates, and our luxury Christmas cakes. If you can’t make it to a market, or would like to send someone a gift through the post, most of our range is also available on our Online Boutique. Continue reading Deck the stall…

Come rain or shine

Altrincham Market - 18/10/14

Thank you once again to everyone who braved the weather to visit us this past weekend at Altrincham Market. Sadly, we won’t be there this weekend, but will return on 1st & 2nd November to see those of you able to venture out after the previous night’s Hallowe’en celebrations.

Rain, rain, go away

Noticed a definite change in the weather this past Saturday at Altrincham Market, with the unwelcome rain and chilly wind.

Coconut & Cherry Macaroon

Giant coconut & cherry macaroons proved a big hit, with one early customer even seen munching one for a very sweet breakfast! With no macarons this week, there was greatly reduced confusion about which is which. We’re back next weekend with both…. I’ve planned the explanation already!

Macaron? Macaroon?

Another fun weekend at Altrincham Market, and our first Saturday trading at the market.

Tart Trio

We arrived armed with new flavours of mallows and three very different tarts (see below) – Chocolate & Salted caramel, Raspberry & Pistachio Breton, and Lemon meringue. I think the lemon meringue was our most popular.

All new newness

There’s lots going on for us this week, with a new market at Levenshulme on Saturday and back to Altrincham on Sunday for our first market following the opening of the refurbished market hall.

We’ve also been working on the development of new products and packaging, including new mallow flavours and a chocolate version of our ever popular salted caramels, made with rich 70% Valrhona chocolate. You can grab a bag at either of our upcoming markets, along with our usual range of confectionery and fresh patisserie, but you’ll have to wait a while to see our new packaging…. we’re still waiting for the labels to arrive!
