Frequently asked questions about our chocolates, confectionery and patisserie.

Q. Where are your products produced?
A. All items are completely handmade in our kitchen, which has been given the highest Food Hygiene rating of 5 by the local council.

Q. Are your products suitable for people with allergies?
A. Our products are made in an environment where nuts, gluten, soya, sesame, peanut, eggs and dairy are used, and we cannot guarantee that any product will not contain traces of any allergen. We are always happy to advise you further on the ingredients and allergens in any of our products.

Q. Are your products suitable for vegetarians/vegans?
A. Whilst most of our products are vegetarian-friendly, we do use gelatine in a small number of items. As the majority of our products contain dairy, they are not suitable for vegans unless specifically stated in the product description. We are able to cater for most dietary requirements, so please get in touch to discuss your ideas.

Q. A product is showing as available on back-order, what does that mean?
A. Back ordered items are not currently in stock, but you can still order them in our online shop. We aim to dispatch all back ordered items within 1-2 weeks of your order, once fresh stock has been made – please contact us if you need an item for a specific date.

Q. I would like to place my order today, but don’t want it to be sent for a while – is this possible?
A. If you would like to delay shipping of an order to a future date, please let us know in the additional notes section during checkout. Your order will be dispatched at a later date to ensure it contains the freshest possible chocolates when it arrives.

Q. I have tried an Éponine product which is not available in the online boutique – can I still order more?
A. Many of our products are seasonal and our current range changes frequently. Most items can be made to order, however minimum order quantities may apply. Please contact us with your enquiry and we will be happy to advise you.

Q. What is the shelf life of your chocolates?
A. Our truffles and filled chocolates are all made without additives or preservatives and are best enjoyed within 2 weeks of delivery. Solid chocolate bars, drinking chocolate and other items have a much longer shelf life. Please see the “Additional Information” section of each product.

Q. How should I store your chocolates?
A. Chocolates are best stored in a cool, dry place at room temperature of 16-20 °C, not in the fridge. If room temperature is above 24 °C, we suggest fully wrapping with cling film or placing in an air tight box, then storing in the fridge – for best results, allow the chocolates to warm to room temperature before unwrapping and enjoying.

Q. What is the shelf life of your confectionery?
A. As all products are freshly produced with natural ingredients, they are best enjoyed shortly after purchase. Please see individual products for further information, or contact us and we will be happy to advise you further.

Q. What is the shelf life of your patisserie?
A. All our patisserie is freshly produced using natural ingredients, fresh fruit and dairy, with no artificial preservatives. To enjoy them at their best, eat on the day of purchase. We advise that all our patisserie products should be eaten within 2-3 days of purchase.

Q. How should I store your patisserie products?
A. If patisserie products are not to be eaten on the day of purchase, we suggest transferring them to an air tight container before refrigerating. To enjoy your patisserie at its best, remove from the fridge about 15 minutes before eating and allow to warm up slightly.
