Online orders are available for delivery to UK addresses only.
Please allow up to 2 days’ processing time before dispatch whilst we prepare and pack your order.
Orders are dispatched from Monday-Thursday (excluding bank holidays). We do not usually dispatch on Fridays to prevent your chocolates from spending longer than necessary in transit over the weekend. Orders placed from Thursday onward will be dispatched the following week.
Our boxes are well padded and usually sent as parcels which will not fit through the letterbox, so someone will need to be available to take delivery. If no-one is available, your parcel may be left with a neighbour or in a safe place. The courier should leave a card advising you on where it has been delivered, or how to arrange a re-delivery or collection.
All delivery times are given as a guide only and the exact delivery time frame cannot be guaranteed. Deliveries may take longer during busy periods (e.g. Christmas) or due to factors out of our control (bad weather, strikes, etc.). If you need items for a specific date, please discuss with a member of our team before placing your order.
Shipping Methods & Prices
Our standard shipping is a flat rate of £4.99 to anywhere in the UK using a Royal Mail 1st Class parcel service.
Alternative courier options may be offered at checkout. Price and availability of these is dependant on your chosen shipping address.
We currently offer the following shipping methods:
Royal Mail 1st Class
– Aims to deliver 1-2 days after dispatch (Monday-Saturday).
DHL Tracked and Signed (Next Day)
– Aims to deliver the next working day after dispatch (Monday-Friday)
– A fully tracked service which includes notifications and tracking updates via text and/or email.
Named Occasion Shipping (e.g. “Christmas Delivery”)
– Dispatch of your items will be delayed until the week leading up to the specified occasion, ensuring that your chocolates arrive with the best possible shelf life for gifting.
– Different courier options may be offered e.g. “Christmas Delivery (1st Class)” and “Christmas Delivery (DHL)”, priced according to the courier. This will not affect the dispatch date of your items, only the method by which they are shipped.
– Your items will be dispatched to arrive before the specified date, not on the date itself.
In order to provide the best possible service, your order may be shipped using an alternative courier or shipping method to the one selected at checkout. This will always be an equivalent or upgraded service.
Channel Islands, Remote Areas, and Areas Outside of Mainland UK
Delivery times may be longer than those specified above.
The customer/recipient is responsible for any additional costs resulting from customs, import fees, duties, taxes, etc. Please check with your local customs office for current guidance on importing items to your area from mainland UK.
Shipping in Hot Weather
During periods of hot weather, all orders will be shipped with insulated and/or chilled packaging to protect them while in transit. The cost of all shipping methods may be temporarily increased to cover the cost of the additional packaging.
If your parcel includes ice packs, please remove them and allow the products to warm up to room temperature before opening.
Items should be checked immediately upon receipt and any heat damage reported within 24 hours of delivery. We cannot be held responsible for heat damage reported after this time.
Dispatch of orders may be delayed without notice during periods of exceptionally hot weather. This will only occur when we consider there to be a significant risk of heat damage to the product while in transit which cannot be sufficiently mitigated by chilled packaging. Orders delayed for this reason will be dispatched as soon as it is possible to ship safely.
An additional hot weather shipping option may be made available. This will use a guaranteed next day delivery service in addition to chilled packaging to reduce risk of heat damage. Your order will be dispatched on our next available dispatch date and will not be delayed due to hot weather except in exceptional circumstances.
Items listed as pre-orders are not available for immediate dispatch. These items are usually seasonal specialities which will only be made closer to an event (e.g. Christmas or Easter), but can be ordered in advance for customer convenience.
Whenever possible, pre-order items will give an indication of dispatch date within the individual product listing. This is usually the date on which we expect to start shipping these items and is only an estimation.
All items in an order will be dispatched together by your chosen shipping method when the full order is ready. If you are purchasing a pre-order item or items for a named date delivery but require other in-stock items to be delivered sooner, please place a separate order for these items.
If an item is out of stock it may be offered for back-order. You are still able to place an order for these items, but they will not be dispatched until they are back in stock.
Back-order status is shown in place of the stock level indication above “Add to basket” on the individual product page. It will also be indicated at the basket page and on your confirmation email.
Orders containing back-ordered items will be dispatched together by your chosen shipping method once all items are in stock. If you need other items sooner, please order these separately.
We aim to restock items offered for back-order within 1-2 weeks. This may be longer during peak times. Please contact us before placing your order if you need items by a specific date.
Items on back-order are not eligible for named occasion shipping (e.g. Easter Shipping) within 2 weeks of the named date, as they may not be back in stock in time. Ordering an item on back-order using named occasion shipping may delay delivery of your order beyond the specified date.
Problems With Your Order and Returns
Please notify us immediately of any dissatisfaction with your order and we will aim to put it right.
Damaged or missing items must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. We will not be able to accept claims of damaged or missing goods once this time has passed.
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we are unable to accept the return of unwanted items.
Refunds and replacements are offered entirely at our discretion, and we reserve the right to issue them in whichever way we deem appropriate. We may require that goods are returned to us before a refund or replacement can be issued.
