A week on from the Harrogate Cake & Bake Show, we’re rested and ready to go, gearing up for another three day festival next weekend. This time we’re in Liverpool for the North West Food Lovers Festival (3rd-5th July, 11-6)

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
We are very pleased to announce that we will be at the very first CAKE & BAKE SHOW in Harrogate next weekend, 19th-21st June!!!
The past few weeks
This poor blog has been very unloved over the past few weeks, so here’s a bumper picture post showing what we’ve been up to & where we’ve been.
Back and Forth
Thank you to everyone who braved the weather for West Kirby Farmers’ Market last weekend – we really hope everyone enjoyed their chocolates and sweets, and we’ll see you all next month (Saturday 23rd May, 9-1)!
This weekend is another double one for us, with Frodsham Independent Market on Saturday and Wallasey Food Fair on Sunday.
Markets, Mallows & More….
We have recently started working with the food scientists at NoWFood Chester University, testing a selection of our products for things like shelf life, so hopefully soon you will be able to find them popping up on a few shelves in the future. We have therefore been invited to the monthly Food Fest, held in the small hall of Chester University from 11am-2.30pm, and will be there this coming Friday (24th April), followed by our usual West Kirby Farmers’ Market on Saturday 25th April.
Hope you had a Hoppy Easter
Hope everyone has had a happy (hoppy?) Easter, and that the bunny brought lots of delicious chocolates! The last thing we heard from him, he was lying on a nice sunny beach, drinking something out of a pineapple with a bright umbrella sticking out of it.
Before the bunny jetted off on his vacation, he joined us for the first Frodsham independent market. It was also our first time visiting Frodsham in ages, so it was great to have a look around after the market and grab a coffee at the new Whitmore & White Food Hall.
Sadly this marks the end of Easter, and the removal of our Easter eggs and other products from our online boutique. We have a lot of big things planned to replace them in the near future, so keep your eyes peeled for updates!
Egg-citing events ahead
Thank you to everyone who visited us at West Kirby Farmers’ Market last Saturday, it was great to see the market so busy! There were lots of Easter gifts being purchased – hope everyone enjoys them next weekend.
With the Sun finally making an appearance, we welcomed two new summery additions to our marshmallow range – mango & passion fruit, and mandarin & Cointreau. As always our mallows are made with only natural ingredients, and the colour comes from real fruit juices and purees. It was funny to watch what started out as a bright orange mandarin mixture whip up to an almost pure white mallow. Just to confuse you (and us!).
Hopping our way to Market
We were out braving the cold in Altrincham Market last weekend, but kept warm by good coffee and good company from the other traders.
We’re very happy to report that we are moving back indoors this weekend, and are in equally lovely company at West Kirby Farmers’ Market. If you’ve been keeping track of our ever growing Easter collection, we will have the entire range on offer at West Kirby, alongside our usual confectionery. We also have some new marshmallow flavours for you to try, and our very popular milk chocolate dipped honeycomb is back, alongside our latest creation – “Hot Cross Buns”.
So if you’re looking for handmade eggs, or something a bit different for Easter this year, make sure you catch us from 9am-1pm on Saturday 28th in St Andrew’s Church Hall, Graham Road, West Kirby CH48 5DE. You can also pre-order all of our Easter products for collection from the market, get in touch if you would like to place an order.
Back at Altrincham!
It was nice to be back at Altrincham Market for the first time since the awful fire in Market House, and great to see that it is back on its feet and busy as ever!
With the market falling just before Mother’s Day, last minute gifts seemed to be the order of the day, with some seriously covert purchases going on whilst Mum wasn’t looking. We hope that everyone enjoyed their Mother’s Day chocolate gifts, and if you’ve run out already you can find us at Altrincham again this coming weekend, so pop down and stock up!
Easter and Mother’s Day 2015
This time last year, we had only just started up, and Easter came and went without us being able to do much about it, so it has been great fun playing around with our range for this year!
