We are currently closed for the Christmas Holidays. Orders can still be placed in our online shop for dispatch when we re-open in January.Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Our first trip will be to this year’s Tatton Park Foodies Festival. This takes places over three days (Friday 17th-Sunday 19th) and is a huge festival with all the usual suspects, including great local produce, celebrity chefs and tons to see and do. Set in beautiful Tatton Park, this promises to be the biggest festival we have attended so far, and hopefully the best one yet! Continue reading Izzy, Wizzy, Let’s get busy!
Thank you to everyone who visited us at West Kirby Farmers’ Market last Saturday, it was great to see the market so busy! There were lots of Easter gifts being purchased – hope everyone enjoys them next weekend.
With the Sun finally making an appearance, we welcomed two new summery additions to our marshmallow range – mango & passion fruit, and mandarin & Cointreau. As always our mallows are made with only natural ingredients, and the colour comes from real fruit juices and purees. It was funny to watch what started out as a bright orange mandarin mixture whip up to an almost pure white mallow. Just to confuse you (and us!).
Alongside our usual confectionery, we will have some special ideas for Mother’s Day on 15th March. We will also be presenting a sneak preview of our Easter range, which you will be able to pre-order for collection at the next market, or at the Hoylake Food Fair on the following Sunday (8th March). You can also now find our Easter range on our Online Boutique. If you would like to reserve anything to pick up at the market this Saturday, please let us know.
The Christmas holidays are nearly here, and we are rounding off 2014 with our usual visit to West Kirby Farmers’ Market on 20th December. Pop down between 9am and 1pm for your last minute Christmas presents, or perhaps to stock up on mince pies. We also have a small number of traditional and jewelled Christmas cakes left, which will be available at the market.
West Kirby Farmers’ Market took a spooky turn this past Saturday! As you can see from the snaps below, we went a little mad with the Hallowe’en theme……
Our bat mascot was very much admired by the market goers, so much so he had to take refuge in an apron!
Thank you once again to everyone who braved the weather to visit us this past weekend at Altrincham Market. Sadly, we won’t be there this weekend, but will return on 1st & 2nd November to see those of you able to venture out after the previous night’s Hallowe’en celebrations.
Double duty this past weekend – Saturday at West Kirby Farmers’ Market, and Sunday at the first Wilmslow & Alderley Edge Food and Drink Festival.
We also introduced our new “Valencia” patisserie, available for the first time at West Kirby Farmers’ Market – Dark chocolate mousse, orange jam, toasted almond creme brûlée on a Breton shortbread. From the comments on the day and afterwards, they were certainly a hit and will have to return again very soon!
It was lovely to be back at West Kirby Farmers’ Market this weekend with all of our new flavours of confections and patisserie.
The mallows proved to be a hit, with Praline & Chocolate being the most popular – we’ll have to bring even more with us next time!
You can see us making the Mocha flavour in the photograph to the right, with the dark chocolate being swirled through the rich coffee mallow. Continue reading West Kirby Weekend
We will be indoors at West Kirby Farmer’s Market this Saturday, a very welcome change from outdoor markets in January. Along with a range of patisserie, we will be bringing some of our new range of cookies and biscuits, including chocolate and double choc cookies crammed with premium Belgian chocolate.
This poor blog must be feeling pretty neglected. We’ve been too busy making mince pies… lots and lots of mince pies. Our mince pies have been overwhelmingly popular over the past few weeks leading up to Christmas, and as the big day is nearly upon us, it’s your last chance to get hold of Continue reading Who ate all the pies?
