New and improved original recipe website

We are delighted to announce that after a lot of typing, many cups of tea, and even more banging of heads against keyboards, the new Eponine website is ready for launch! We’ve designed it to look similar to the old website, but better looking and with more features and content.

You can still find a list of our upcoming market events on the homepage, where you can now also sign up to our mailing list to receive event and product news, updates and special offers.

White 4 Tier Wedding Cake

We’ve also done a bit of restructuring of the menus to bring you more information about our bespoke wedding services, including luxury chocolate wedding favours and couture wedding cakes.

Hope you enjoy checking out and using the new website, but please remember that we are patissiers not web developers, so if you find a bug or broken link please let us know! Of course if it’s the greatest website you’ve ever seen and you would like to compliment us on our patisserie-based-web-design-studio-not-at-all-made-on-my-laptop-at-2am endeavours, please leave a comment below!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Levenshulme Market - 08-11-14Everywhere……… mince pies!

Thank you to all the people who braved the mild monsoon to visit Levenshulme market this weekend. We also had our last visit to Altrincham Market until our Christmas weekend (11-14th December). We’ve really enjoyed being there over the past few months and are definitely looking forwards to a whole long Christmassy weekend in such a lovely atmosphere.

Mince Pies - big & miniWe also had our first mince pies of the season – big and mini, both stuffed with brandy soaked vine fruits. The mini ones were so popular, extra reinforcements had to be made late on Saturday night.

Pre-orders are now being taken for mince pies and Christmas cakes to be collected from any of the December markets in our events calendar. Get in touch for more information and to place your order!

Marshmallow ghost army?

West Kirby Farmers’ Market took a spooky turn this past Saturday! As you can see from the snaps below, we went a little mad with the Hallowe’en theme……
West Kirby 25/10/14

Our bat mascot was very much admired by the market goers, so much so he had to take refuge in an apron!

Come rain or shine

Altrincham Market - 18/10/14

Thank you once again to everyone who braved the weather to visit us this past weekend at Altrincham Market. Sadly, we won’t be there this weekend, but will return on 1st & 2nd November to see those of you able to venture out after the previous night’s Hallowe’en celebrations.

Rain, rain, go away

Noticed a definite change in the weather this past Saturday at Altrincham Market, with the unwelcome rain and chilly wind.

Coconut & Cherry Macaroon

Giant coconut & cherry macaroons proved a big hit, with one early customer even seen munching one for a very sweet breakfast! With no macarons this week, there was greatly reduced confusion about which is which. We’re back next weekend with both…. I’ve planned the explanation already!

Here…There…Somewhere

"Valencia" patisserieDouble duty this past weekend – Saturday at West Kirby Farmers’ Market, and Sunday at the first Wilmslow & Alderley Edge Food and Drink Festival.

We also introduced our new “Valencia” patisserie, available for the first time at West Kirby Farmers’ Market – Dark chocolate mousse, orange jam, toasted almond creme brûlée on a Breton shortbread. From the comments on the day and afterwards, they were certainly a hit and will have to return again very soon!

Macaron? Macaroon?

Another fun weekend at Altrincham Market, and our first Saturday trading at the market.

Tart Trio

We arrived armed with new flavours of mallows and three very different tarts (see below) – Chocolate & Salted caramel, Raspberry & Pistachio Breton, and Lemon meringue. I think the lemon meringue was our most popular.

All new newness

There’s lots going on for us this week, with a new market at Levenshulme on Saturday and back to Altrincham on Sunday for our first market following the opening of the refurbished market hall.

We’ve also been working on the development of new products and packaging, including new mallow flavours and a chocolate version of our ever popular salted caramels, made with rich 70% Valrhona chocolate. You can grab a bag at either of our upcoming markets, along with our usual range of confectionery and fresh patisserie, but you’ll have to wait a while to see our new packaging…. we’re still waiting for the labels to arrive!
