The Food Assembly is a new way of running a farmers market style event, but where all your shopping is done online and in advance. You then simply collect your order from the designated collection point, where you can meet the producer, chat, and enjoy all the benefits and interaction of a regular market. We have recently started working with the food scientists at NoWFood Chester University, testing a selection of our products for things like shelf life, so hopefully soon you will be able to find them popping up on a few shelves in the future. We have therefore been invited to the monthly Food Fest, held in the small hall of Chester University from 11am-2.30pm, and will be there this coming Friday (24th April), followed by our usual West Kirby Farmers’ Market on Saturday 25th April.
We arrived bright and early with a full stock of 8 different marshmallow flavours (including the new Cassis and Violet), along with butter caramels, nougat, pate de fruit, macarons, and all sorts of chocolates. With the sunshine overtaking the rain, everyone really seemed to enjoy the day. I think the main highlight for us was being so close to so many beautiful horses. Continue reading A Spot of Polo
